Logging activities, climate change and variation are threatening the sustainability of entire forest ecosystem. Maintenance periodic assessment diverse ecosystems are, therefore, crucial for long-term survival human beings. However, baseline data on resulting depletion Nigeria insufficient or lacking. The aim present study was to assess phytosociological relationship between species diversity woody at Omo Biosphere Reserve. Three lines were cut apart far from each other. Each has plots 50m an alternate manner 100m intervals. Trees with diameter breast height (DBH) plot measured height, DBH. analyzed richness, diversity, density, dominance, Species Importance Value Index computed using Shannon’s Simpson’s indices. Data software correlation calculated various parameters. A trees representing families encountered stocking density dominant tree species/ha ranges 0.33 trees/ha 26.33 trees/ha. For similarity plots, it varied all plots. (Simpson’s indices) varies In this demonstrates promise in-situ approach nature preservation.

متن کاملeffects of reserve management on woody and ground flora diversity (case study: chamhesar pear forest reserve)
forest reserves are one of the most important approaches in ecosystem management in iran. in order to determine the effects of reserve management on plants diversity (woody plants and ground flora) in three zones (core zone, buffer zone, and transmission zone of chamhesar pear forest reserve), we mapped land form units. then 18 main sampling units (20×50=1000 m2) distributed randomly were chose...

Mapping structural characteristics of the coastal and island forms of mangroves in the Hara Biosphere Reserve
Given the importance of availability sufficient and accurate information on the structural characteristics of mangroves to develop conservation and restoration programs for these ecosystems, this study investigates and maps the structural characteristics of the coastal and island forms of the mangroves in the Hara Biosphere Reserve. To this end, through a field inventory (32 sample plots with t...
